When we as participants reflect on the 2010 Bible Course, which took place during August 16-27, we can say with assurance that God answers prayers! This year over 60 participants, representing 11 local congregations across Canada, met in Chilliwack, B.C. to learn more about God and His word. During the time there, the Lord’s presence was with us and He poured out His blessing on all the participants. The time spent together in studying His word, in prayer, and in fellowship was an edifying experience for all of us.
Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life." John 8:12
God blessed us with beautiful weather as we, along with many people from all over Canada, gathered for the yearly fall church convention in Edmonton. This year, brothers Dieter Jeske (Germany) and Gerry Krebs (British Columbia) were the guest pastors who delivered timely and scripture based messages under the guiding theme: “He who follows me, shall not walk in darkness.”
We look back on our recent Fest with praise and Thanksgiving in our hearts for the wonderful blessings we received. Our 25th Anniversary Fest took place on the 18th and 19th of September with three services on both days. It was a time of reflecting on God's goodness to the congregation in Seminole over the last 25 years. A common theme was how God's presence and guidance brought the congregation to the point where we are now.
“For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” (Matthew 18:20). But when hundreds gather together in the name of Jesus Christ, the blessings are great indeed! Such was the case during the Labor Day weekend in Swartz Creek, Michigan (Sept. 4-6, 2010), where almost 400 people assembled for fellowship, to be blessed and encouraged through God’s Word.
